StaffNow, in my quest to find the perfect shave and maintain well-manicured hands and feet, I've tried quite a few salons from the smaller and less popular to the grand and pricey. But, all of them have lacked one exceptional component; excellent staff. None can compare to the staff that walks the tranquil halls of 1847, specifically the branch in Emirates Towers, which is where I first began my longstanding love affair with the brand. Everyone from the receptionist's to the manicurists, pedicurists, facialist's, barbers, head barbers, etc are well versed, polite, helpful and never once is one made to feel out of place or dissatisfied because they listen and aim to give you a service next to none.
ServicesFrom one-hour-long massages in the private rooms to a VIP space complete with all amenities (including a separate shower and closet space for special events) and manicures, pedicures, beard trims and even waxing; 1847 has it all and then some. My typical routine is the executive shave and eyebrow threading followed by a manicure and pedicure with a simultaneous back massage. Each typical space is separated with mahogany wood to provide a private and calming experience. If you had to pick one service; my money is on the executive shave. The spritz of rosewater post-shave and hot face towel is life-changing.
Why it's a must-try?1847 is less of a trend and more of a lifestyle. It is, in my humble opinion the automobile equivalent of a Mercedes; sleek, sophisticated and an indulgence. While it may not necessarily be cost-effective for everyone, a once a month visit will garner results that will keep one going back for more, and after all these years, their status in the region shows no sign of waning.
